Blurred faces loom overhead.
A MAN and WOMAN stare down, exhausted and overwhelmed. Their smiles slowly come into focus.
The harsh glow of hospital lights surround them.
A newborn’s first breath.
Suddenly – a long, thin tail lashes across their faces.
Their smiles vanish.
Shock.
Then horror.

- First day of school. His mother tapes the tail flat against his leg beneath his trousers.
- Sixteen. He fumbles through his first date, desperately trying to stop the tail from giving him away.
